Dr. Francesca Weber-Newth is a sociologist, bridge builder, and research associate at the New Production Institute. She is dedicated to shaping people-centred cities and rethinking how we produce, move, and interact in urban contexts. Her work focuses on the ‘Fab City’ movement, exploring how cities can enable local, digitally networked production and strengthen urban innovation ecosystems.
As a trained mediator and certified coach, she brings people, perspectives, and disciplines together; translating between strategy and community.
She is particularly interested in advancing Fab City approaches and collaborating on initiatives that connect local production, civic participation, and sustainable urban futures.
